Choosing the Right Eyeglasses

Choosing the Right Eyeglasses

Choosing a new pair of eyeglasses is exciting! New glasses are a great way to update and transform your look, but finding the perfect pair of frames for your face isn’t always a simple task. At Eyes First Vision Center, our trained opticians are here to help you find the perfect new eyeglasses for your needs.

With So Many Options, How Do You Choose?

It can feel overwhelming to pick out a new pair of frames, but our expert staff is here to help. There are a few different factors you’ll need to consider when choosing new eyeglasses. First, you’ll need to consider the type of lens required to correct your vision. If you have a prescription for single lens eyewear, you’ll be able to choose any size frame. If you need bifocals or trifocals, you may be able to see better with a deeper frame. Our staff will be able to help you choose the frame size that makes the most sense for your lenses.

You’ll also want to consider your activity level. If you only plan to use your glasses for reading or driving, you may not be concerned with the durability of your frames. This is especially true for people who switch between glasses and contact lenses. If you plan on being active while wearing your glasses, it’s a good idea to choose frames that are made of a flexible metal which is less likely to break.

You may want to choose more than one pair of eyeglasses. A dressier pair of frames and something more casual are both great ideas to enhance your look. It’s also a good idea to have more than one pair of glasses in case one pair breaks. The last thing you want is to try to get through your day with an old pair of glasses that do not match your current lens prescription.
